Robert Zilch is a land and seascape photographer that is based in and focuses on the Great Lakes States.

My main focus will always be sea and landscapes, I truly love the art of photography and the photographic process. From the first Kodak 110 camera that my dad gave me through different generations to my Canon 5D-IV, I have always shot outside.

My purpose is twofold - capture the beauty of the area to share and to preserve a record of those areas.

Another part of my philosophy is to tread lightly. Nature is a finite resource, so I do everything I can to make sure that nature stays natural. This includes not sharing certain locations that I photograph. I do this not to keep them secret, but to keep them pristine for the others that find them with research, as I do, or by happenstance.

Other types of photography that interest me are urban landscape and drone photography.

If you see me out shooting, please come say hi!
